JOHN & COURTNEY ANDERSON
CAMPUS DIRECTORS

John and Courtney live in Wichita with their three sons, Leo, Gideon and Levi. They both met The Navigators in college, John at the University of Northern Iowa, and Courtney at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. During their time in college, John and Courtney learned to walk deeply with Christ and how to pass this on to others. Before becoming the campus directors at Wichita State in summer 2016, John spent four years and Courtney spent two years on staff at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

John was born in a log cabin the woods of Illinois. Or maybe in a hospital. It's all quite fuzzy, and he doesn't really remember it much. He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Philosophy. During his time at UNI, John gave his life to Christ thanks to the faithful witness of his friends. Shortly after, an upperclassman in his dorm started discipling him in the faith and helping him grow in his walk with Jesus. Since then John has dedicated his life to making disciples who make disciples, and the rest, as they say, is geography.

Courtney was born the middlest of children in the Nelsen clan in 1991. Without the privileges of being the oldest or the coddling reserved for the youngest, she of course emerged out of childhood with just the right amount of maturity. Or not. When she got to college, God showed Courtney just how far she falls short of His glory and revealed His desire to help her continually grow in her walk with Him. During her time in college she was discipled by her friend Machelle, a Navigator staff member. Machelle didn't just share biblical principles over a cup of coffee; she welcomed Courtney into her life and gave her a godly example to follow. As they cooked meals, picked up her kids from activities, and ran errands together, Machelle showed Courtney how to do life and ministry as a follower of Christ. Courtney is excited to be on staff with The Navigators and do for girls on campus what Machelle did for her: share her life so that she can share Christ!

NATALIE SAUER
ASSOCIATE STAFF
Natalie was born and raised in Lawrence, KS into a God-loving family. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 2016 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Getting involved with The Navigators her freshman year was one of the most impactful decisions she made during her time at KU. She was poured into by staff women who helped get her established in the basics of walking with Jesus, shared everyday life with her, helped her realize her true identity in Christ, and inspired a love for knowing and sharing the Gospel with others. After college, she worked as a special education paraprofessional in Lawrence and continued to volunteer with The Navigators at KU, where she continued to meet with girls that she had helped grow during her time in college. Natalie has a passion for helping establish students in the same things that godly women helped her with in college, and enjoys helping girls realize and live out of their freedom and identity in Christ in every area of their lives. She desires to see these girls share the freedom they have found in Christ with those around them and also help them grow in how to walk with God. Natalie also enjoys music and singing, baking, the outdoors, and anything and everything related to KU and the Jayhawks.

EVAN SEIWERT

ASSOCIATE STAFF
Evan fancies himself a connoisseur of coffee and all things bacon. He once performed a Jason Mraz cover in concert in East Asia. Due to his passion for quality office supplies he uses a 1950s vintage Swingline stapler purchased off Ebay. Eccentricities aside, Evan's biggest passion is to help college students live a life of significance as they discover their identity as followers of Jesus. Evan's hope is to look back on his life and see that by God's grace he has helped many to walk deeply with Jesus and become engaged in spreading His glory to the ends of the earth. Evan has served with The Navigators since 2012, serving two years at Kansas State University before moving to Wichita State. Prior to joining Navigator staff he served full-time as a firefighter/EMT with the Sedgwick County Fire Department in Wichita, KS. As a self-described education junkie Evan recently earned a master's degree in his spare time. When not engaged on campus Evan enjoys working for Butler County EMS, and developing and presenting firefighting and EMS training.
